Mothers remain in their in their suite through labor, delivery and recovery - and with the baby. In-house after-hour obstetricians and 24-hour anesthetists are available should the need arise.

This unit is specially designed to provide ongoing, intensive nursing care for our patients who have been seriously injured or who suffer from complex health conditions. The unique circular layout of Holy Family's 10 bed unit and its location adjacent to the Emergency Center, Radiology, Laboratory and Surgery Center give the health care team optimum conditions to facilitate wellness. Patients are monitored by RNs who are all Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified.

Medical Unit
The medical unit, a 43-bed unit on the third floor, provides the skilled physical and emotional care to meet the needs of the acute, chronic or terminally ill adult. In concert with the mission of the hospital, care will be provided in a manner that promotes a return to normal living or provides the support and knowledge to live with a chronic disease and provides support and understanding for the terminally ill patient and family members.

Oncology Unit
The unit provides physical and emotional nursing care for adults with cancer. Major conditions treated include all oncology diagnoses, chemotherapy, blood transfusions, pain management, hospice patients and radiation therapy patients. The 24 bed unit on the third floor provides a family room for patients and their families, as well as flexible visiting hours to accommodate any schedule. At Holy Family Hospital, the patient is an integral part of the treatment, as are family, friends and other members of the patient's support system.

Orthopedic Unit
The orthopedic unit, a 24-bed unit on the fourth floor of the hospital, cares for patients with disorders of the joints, bones and associated muscles. The majority of patients in the unit are those needing a knee pinning, or total hip and knee replacements due to degenerative joint disease. Most other orthopedic conditions can be treated through out-patient surgery or treatment.

Pediatrics
The goal of the pediatric unit staff is to provide skilled physical and emotional care for the chronically and/or acutely ill adolescent child or infant in a manner that least disrupts the family unit integrity. Parents and/or family members are encouraged to stay overnight with their loved ones. The unit is on the fourth floor and includes a children's play room visible from the nurses' station.

Surgical Unit
The surgical unit, a 35-bed unit on the 5th floor of the hospital, cares for patients following surgery.
