Health Education
As part of our mission to promote healthy living, Holy Family Hospital has been a leader in health education. As part of our belief in working together for a healthy community, Holy Family Hospital has joined with other Spokane area hospitals to offer educational programs, screenings and health resource materials throughout the community. Call CHER (Community Health Education and Resources) at 232-8138 for more information.

Community-Minded Enterprises
Community-Minded Enterprises is a growing alliance of citizens and organizations working to make Spokane County a healthier community. Founded by Holy Family Hospital and other area hospitals, Community-Minded Enterprises acts as a catalyst to launch initiatives around key community issues linking community projects (Discoveries) with critical resources. Each Discovery is committed to improving health and/or well being, making a sustainable, positive difference, achieving measurable results, and involving an innovative exchange of local capacities and/or resources. Check out Community-Minded Enterprises web site to become involved or to learn more about the process. Community-Minded Enterprises can be contacted at (509)444-3088, fax (509)444-3077.

Neighborhood
Through its commitment to improving the health status of the community, Holy Family Hospital is involved in programs affecting the citizens in our immediate neighborhood. We have a close tie to the elementary school across the street through activities such as an employee-as-tutor reading program, student art displays in the hospital and monthly celebrations for scholastic achievement. We work with the Nevada-Lidgerwood Neighborhood Council to pursue neighborhood projects and partnerships. We also work with the Northeast Community Center in support of accessible neighborhood health care services.
